Storesense Expo is set to power the next generation of events through passive Wi-Fi analytics. As demonstrated at Microsoft’s prestigious 20th Microsoft NT Conference earlier this year, the technology has been designed to address a pressing need for event evaluation. Instantly providing a clear view of attendee movements across a show floor, event owners, organisers and exhibitors can now optimise their engagement strategies to deliver more immersive and innovative future events.
Location based Wi-Fi analytics passively tracks the movements of attendees across a show floor through their smartphone. Reliable and robust information can be collected from approximately a third to a half of attendees that have their Wi-Fi switched on, not necessarily connected to the show’s Wi-Fi. Unlike existing touchpoint measures including traffic counters and badge scanners, Wi-Fi is non-invasive and doesn’t require human intervention. It is also less costly and hassle free for attendees who would have to download an app to use iBeacons.
“Storesense Expo supported our intuitive understanding of visitor behaviour with concrete data and analytics. We now have a better foundation to organise the next event, negotiate with event sponsors, and make it even more attractive for visitors.” said Gregor Potočar, Sales Director, Microsoft Slovenia.
“With Wi-Fi now seen as a differentiator, Storesense Expo further differentiates venues, future proofing them while providing benefit to organisers and exhibitors. We are looking forward to seeing a host of new engagement strategies, knowing that their success can be fully evaluated.” said Jan Isakovic, CEO, Storesense Expo.
Storesense Expo is regulated by EU privacy laws and no personally identifiable information is stored. At less than 1% of a typical stand cost, it can be installed by optimising the existing Wi-Fi infrastructure in less than 24 hours.
